This is Risky

If our ministry was a business we would say, “this is risky let’s stop here and pay everything off before we move forward.” But when your purpose is reaching souls, rescuing children in dark places, and bringing hope, you need more than a good business sense. You need a deep faith, long suffering, and sacrificial love that is rooted in Jesus.
We are so grateful for all of you joining us in building treasures in heaven. We could not do any of this without you.
"What is more, I consider everything a loss because of the surpassing worth of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord, for whose sake I have lost all things. I consider them garbage, that I may gain Christ."
-Phillipians 3:8
God did this - A Testimony of One Small Act of Courage

Jerimiah in 2018 (above).
And Jerimiah in 2024 (below).

I met Jerimiah and his brothers at the feeding program about 7 years ago. When I watched him pray, he seemed to be crying out to God in such a beautiful way that I had to ask him his testimony. He told me about how his father passed away, and his mother was a single mom raising seven boys and one girl. I asked him what he prayed for, and he said, “I pray for a way to go to school.”
Good news
Now years later, he is one of our 6th grade students at Dream Academy. Every morning, the students attend chapel. A few months ago, he asked pastor Churchill if he could bring the message during chapel service. He was so nervous but did amazing. This small act of courage has inspired most of the students to do the same. When Pastor Churchill asks, “Who wants to teach chapel next,” about 30 hands of all ages excitedly stretch toward the ceiling. Almost all of our 108 students have taken a turn teaching or leading worship. Our teachers work alongside them to help them prepare. We believe God is transforming them from shy timid students to confident leaders, teachers, pastors, and soldiers for Christ. This is all because of one boy's courage to share the gospel.
Bad news
A few weeks ago, Jerimiah was attacked by robbers with a machete on his way home from school, a 45 minuite walk. Thankfully he was able to escape with only stitches. One thing all our students have in common is they have experienced some sort of trauma.
More Good News
We are thankful for a donation that will provide for one of our volunteers to begin schooling for her counseling degree. We are trusting it will bring healing to many men women and children at the Dream Academy and Dream Center.
Future
Boarding
We are moving forward to prepare our school for Boarding. Boarding is a huge tool we will use to break captives free. We have no idea how it is going to happen. So once again, we are just taking our steps forward and asking God to part the sea in His timing. He makes the impossible possible over and over again. We have learned we can trust His plans. If the Lord allows us, we will start with the girls boarding as they are in more vulnerable situations. We have about 10 girls out of our 108 students that are in desperate need of boarding right now. It is difficult to send many of them home every day, knowing the darkness they go home to. But we are also thankful the Lord has provided a temporary safe place at our school for them to eat, learn, and know they are loved. We hope you will add this to your prayers.

Construction
We have just finished construction on the rooms for 7th and 8th grade for next year. We are in the process of getting rooms ready for the computer room and science lab.
Sponsorships
We have all our 108 students sponsored! Yahoo. I had planned on sending lots of pictures, updates, and videos to all the sponsors. This has turned out to be harder than I anticipated. I’m chipping away at it a little at a time. We have been praying for God to provide some very special people, interns, to join us and help with the work and many roles we have to fill.
We are planning to add 48 more students for this coming year. Please let us know if you would like more information for sponsorship.
$45 for lower grades (baby class to 6th grade).
$55 for 7th to 9th grade.
Boarding will be $90 per month for special circumstances per child.

Mission Teams
We love having teams join us here. It is a huge sacrifice to invest in coming all the way to Mombasa Kenya.
The teams built lots of picnic tables, did electrical work, made chicken coops, painted murals, taught guitar, did prenatal checkups, taught Bible Study, taught country line dancing lol, organized a sports camp, taught school, tutored, and did home visits with their sponsored children. But most importantly, they loved on all our staff and all the children God has placed in our path.
The cost of following Jesus is great, but the blessings are far greater. We pray each person left with something money can never buy.
Our prayer has been Matthew 9:37-38, “The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field."
God is answering our prayers.
The following pictures and videos are from teams who came the summer of 2024.

School Financial Breakdown
God is surely doing something beautiful here. If He never did another thing, our hearts would remain in awe of His hand.

If it would bless you to be part of helping us make this year's school payment, provide boarding, or provide supplies for computer and science lab, below are the basics to our budget. A little can go a long way.
The school must be paid off in 3 years.
Last year the amount paid was $112,000, and with all 1st phase construction and legalities, it added up to about $212,000 U.S. dollars. Hooray! This is paid in full, thank you Jesus!
This year what’s owed by November 6th is $112,000 dollars USD. Amount we have saved up so far is $75,000 US dollars. The amount still needed for the 2nd payment is $32,000 dollars USD.
Next year, the 3rd and final payment will be $112,000 US dollars due on November 6th 2025. Lord willing, in less than 3 years, Dream Academy will be paid in full by November 2025!
Boarding
Amount needed for girls boarding is $9,000.
Amount needed for the boys boarding is $6,000.
Adding 7th and 8th grade for our students to move up to the next level
A science lab, computer lab, and desks = $9,800.
Computer = $3,000.
Science = $5,500.
Locking Cabinets = $500.
Desks = $800.
THANK YOU!
It means so much to us that you took time to read our newsletter/blog. If you are reading this you have probably already invested in our ministries whether financially or through prayers and encouragement. All of these things are so important to us.
We wish you all could be here to see face to face the life changing testimonies of the mothers, fathers, and children your support is making. We invite you to come. But if you can’t make it, we pray these updates and pictures will bless you.
We leave you with this beautiful quote.
“The missionary heart: Care more than some think is wise. Risk more than some think is safe. Dream more than some think is practical. Expect more than some think is possible. I was called not to comfort or success but to obedience…There is no joy outside of knowing Jesus and serving him.”
