Sometimes when you love like Jesus, it can feel like you're going to war.

Jambo Y’all

There have been seasons in our ministry here in Kenya that have felt like walking through a shady garden and just pulling off the fruit. As our ministries have grown and needs press in, sometimes it can feel like we are in a hot field tilling stony ground.

This is our doing. No matter the chaos around Jesus, He always walked in perfect peace. This is our prayer.

500 club

The Feeding program/ 500 club continues and as we see the transformations God is doing it inspires us to push on.

What a huge responsibility and privilege it is to plant hundreds of Gods seeds into the hearts of so many that are trapped in bondage of Islam and witchcraft.

This year in our Bible studies with the children we have completed the Old Testament. Starting next week we will introduce the New Testament.

Gently Led

I (Tammy) love all of our ministries but as I serve these women and their babies it feels so life giving.

We select 10 women each month for classes. They are taught breastfeeding, uvula mutilation, first aid for choking, CPR, Godly Parenting, postpartum depression, and family planning.

Out of the 10 women, none of them had any idea what to do if their baby was choking.

I was so excited to hear of one mom who went home and showed her husband and daughters what she had learned. The others said they would also share the things they have learned with their neighbors.

Gently Led has added a bereavement ministry. This month alone three babies have died during labor….

Two from this group and one from last month’s class. We know the importance of rejoicing over babies but also grieving with them as well.

Sewing Ministry

Our newest sewing class started back up yesterday.

We have started with the small girls but hope to teach the women from our Gently Led ministry and community as they have been asking for us to help them learn a skill that could assist them in earning an income.

We are starting small but expecting Big!

Intern Grace

Grace has been here 2 months now with one month to go. I’m sure she has been challenged in many areas.

She has been leading art class and has also started sewing class. All the girls here will surely weep when she leaves.

Grace said “One thing I’ve learned is all I need is Jesus. Not anything else… not even a bed. All I need is Him."

Our new Loft and Missionary Conference

We just hosted a 2-week conference at the Dream Center for young adults interested in bringing the gospel to unreached, hostile areas. Wayne had remodeled our attic to make space for 25 men on one side and 25 women on the other.

It was perfect and we continued all our normal programs at the Center at the same time (Gently Led ministry, school for 17 kids, Bible Study, art camp, and music classes) all under one roof and it went smoothly.

Only God can do that, lol. Our only challenge is figuring out how to get the attic to be cooler.

Sometimes when you love like Jesus, it can feel like you're going to war.

POTENTIAL PROPERTY FOR SCHOOL

We know that we must continue to fight towards providing a safe place for ALL children, (boarding school) not just for Saturdays but every day. It is unimaginable what so many must endure. We are heartbroken when a child’s home life is so horrible that they would show up at the Dream Center at 6am every morning even though the gate doesn’t open till 8. Then they try to go home after dark, knowing after dark is not safe for them. So, we will continue to fight for those who cannot fight.

Psalm 82:3 (NIV) “Defend the weak and the fatherless; uphold the cause of the poor and oppressed."

We hope to start with a couple hundred kids. We will be praying for sponsorships for each child. We will send a video on the next steps and needs for school in Mombasa, Kenya when we have it.

Please be in prayer for this, it is definitely bigger than us. We are scared to near death! lol.

Our Family, Willow Andrus

Our daughter Willow just graduated from IHOPU with a 4-year ministry degree. She has had challenges along the way but persevered.

We can’t wait to see how God uses all that she has learned and be able to pour it back out onto His children.

We will have an update for you soon as to what is next for her. We are so proud of Willow Andrus and how she allows God to direct each of her paths.

Wayne, Tammy, Haven, and Teams

Our family is so excited to have teams join us this year. Our home church Calvary chapel of the Coastlands will visit next week and Calvary chapel temple Texas right after.

We are praying for some of you, reading this now, to join us too.

Our prayer is that it will be more than a mission trip for anyone who visits, and that all who come will have a supernatural experience that can only be explained through God. We pray that peoples' time would be life changing. And we trust they will leave their imprint here as well.

We are busy sowing seeds wherever we go. But we are not alone in our sowing. You are working alongside us in prayer, in giving, in volunteering, and in caring enough to take time to read this newsletter.

Thank you for being part of this labor of love. We couldn’t do it without you.

“Some plant, some water, but God gives the increase." - 1 Corinthians 3

Glory be to God,
Wayne, Tammy, and Haven
